      Verdict

      LIGHTNING SPIRIT has split a couple of modest efforts over 1m2f with a victory over course and distance. Gary Moore's mare is taken to go in again despite a 4lb higher mark. She makes more appeal than Azelle, a losing favourite in a couple of plating races last month, and should also have too much for Pour La Victoire though the latter has the help of a 5lb claimer today. Warbond has tumbled down the weights without showing any signs of improvement and Fairy Mist is preferred.
