      Verdict

      Costa Filey has a shout dropping down a grade after a third on the Turf course at Lingfield but Yarmouth winner Royal Brave failed to cope with a 6lb rise at Goodwood last time. Spreadable and Handwoven look stuck on their current marks and, despite a string of placed efforts this year, Newton's Law hasn't gone anywhere near winning. FAIR RANGER should improve for his recent reappearance at Chepstow and it could be his turn today having tumbled down the weights at the end of last season.
