Councellor, Buy on the Red and Unlimited make the shortlist here with Councellor likely to rule this affair. After landing a gamble at Chepstow, Unlimited has run two sound races in defeat since but finds himself running off a four pound higher mark than his latest run here. That seems harsh and he may struggle to win off this rating. Buy On The Red took advantage of a decent handicap mark to squeeze through to score at Bath last time. Richard Mullen handled him well that day but is not here today, though Buy on the Red still can go well. Councellor returned to the turf recently with a win after spending some time on the all-weather where he won three times. His turf mark is significantly lower than the all-weather rating where he has won three times and despite his three pound rise Councellor can prove too strong.
