      Verdict

      DUKE OF NORTH returned to action with good effort over track and trip when beaten only a short-head by Black Caesar, who runs earlier on the card. Jim Boyle’s charge should go close again and Balgair can figure if at his best on his reappearance having signed off last year with placed efforts at Kempton. Haraz won over 6f at Chelmsford earlier and has gone close over today’s distance in the past while Nutini is another stepping back up in trip having recorded his only success to date over 6f.
