Verdict

DUCHESS OF AVON (NAP) has run well twice of this mark since opening her account over track and trip in June. She looks to be on an upward curve and could be the answer to the day’s feature ahead of Chelmsford third Water Diviner, who also likes it here. Majestic Mac is a consistent-but-luckless individual but makes more appeal than the other three-year-old Forseti. Of the older horses, Medieval and Poetic Force have decent each-way claims with the latter one of four saddled by Tony Carroll. Key Player has a big weight to carry but should also be in the firing-line granted luck in-running.
