This revolves around the improving Ashton Vale, Harbour Bell and Talldark'N'Andsome - who all come into the race with plenty of scope. However, the last named has not had the best of luck in his races in the past and fully deserved to rid himself of the maiden tag at Chepstow earlier in the week. His connections are obviously confident that the 6lb extra that he incurs for that victory will not be enough to stop him and it may pay to side with the Nick Littmoden-trained gelding whilst his confidence is still on a high.
