In depth

Verdict

In-form fillies can be dangerous to oppose and Ishiamber certainly falls into that category after landing two successes at Kempton in quick succession this spring. Indeed, George Baker's charge has yet to be campaigned away from the Surrey venue so it will be fascinating to see how she handles both the unique undulations of Brighton and the Turf. She may well prove good enough in her current form but JALADEE looked likely to come on a bundle for his Leicester pipe-opener and rates a worthy adversary. The drop to 7f looks a slightly strange move based on efforts to date but the Varian gelding definitely has scope for improvement and handles this ground well. Eastern Dragon is a possible, too, over his optimum trip.
