Black Caesar won a Class 4 handicap here in June and only went up 2lb. He's been narrowly beaten twice subsequently so should give a good account. Evanescent's last visit here resulted in a victory in October from exactly the same mark though he's much better handicapped on the all-weather. It's two years since Mansfield gained his only victory in a maiden here while German Whip looks high enough in the weights after completing a Polytrack double a year ago. Zavikon's only victory was over the minimum and he's never raced over a trip this far but Tulip Dress, who won over the course and distance in April, looked ready to win again when touched off on the line at Chepstow and should get into the frame. MISS ICON has only won once but has been competing at a higher level and hasn't been beaten far in her last three starts. She now looks on a winnable mark and can double her tally.
