Verdict

The Covex Kid beat Poetic Force five lengths here three weeks ago with Darvel a tailed-off last of four. Amy Murphy’s three-year-old has been raised 8lb but Stefano Cherchi claims back 3lb of that. Last year’s winner Zulu Girl ran no sort of race behind Granary Queen here last time and was also disappointing at Bath the time before. Eve Johnson Houghton’s filly won again at Leicester two weeks ago and should give a good account again despite a new career-high mark but the penny has dropped with ENGLISH SPIRIT and the son of Swiss Spirit still has plenty of scope on Turf.
