        Verdict

        They All Laughed and King's Ransom both come into this in fair form and are proven performers with cut in the ground but both may have to settle for minor honours here with preference for Tibouchina. The selection could not have been much more impressive when landing a race of similar quality over course and distance last week and Ralph Beckett's filly is taken to follow up and defy the penalty. Generous Lad has been performing creditably well of late without winning and may have to settle for a minor role again unless the ground dries up. Theatre Royal failed to stay two miles last time and may do better back in distance this afternoon but a bigger threat is likely to come from recent Newmarket winner They All Laughed. Tibouchina has solid claims though and she is preferred.
