Verdict

Bartra Rock has been running into form of late but the handicapper has seen fit to raise him 5lbs for his latest effort and preference is for Sovereign Dreamer, who gets the vote ahead of Shades Of Green. The last mentioned has struggled in two starts since winning at Yarmouth last month and, while only 2lbs higher now, is difficult to recommend on recent evidence. Irish Ballad has been given a chance by the handicapper but has given little sign of encouragement of late and of more interest maybe Ballygriffin Kid, who comes from the in-form yard of Gay Kelleway. Jarvo showed improved form at Bath last time and has to be respected on that evidence but the vote goes to Paul Cole's Sovereign Dreamer, who has slipped to a fair mark and showed last time that he could be running into form.
