Pagan Prince Signs of ability in three starts on fast ground last year and makes handicap debut today.
Gruinart (IRE) Easy winner at Salisbury on good to firm last June but has been very disappointing since then.
Rasmalai A couple of fair efforts last season but ran no sort of race at Epsom on reappearance and is probably best watched for now.
Hint of Magic Won quite a competitive all-weather handicap last time and had earlier shown reasonable form in maidens on this sort of ground. Could be improving and definitely goes on the shortlist.
College Rock Genuine sort who ran quite well in better race at Epsom last time, having been fit from the all-weather. Won twice last year and not one to totally rule out.
Mister Clinton (IRE) Apparently named because of a keen interest in the fairer sex, and has therefore been gelded. Certainly has the ability to win a race like this, though has been off the course for a while.
Billy Bathwick (IRE) Reasonably handicapped on best form but has only won once from 21 attempts and may need this seasonal debut.
Proud Chief Not won since his two-year-old days and has seemed out of sorts for some time now.
No Mercy Moderate hurdler and was not in the best of form on the flat last year, though would have a chance on some of his earlier efforts.
Gypsy (IRE) Prominent throughout when third in competitive handicap at Epsom recently, but may have been slightly flattered an is not guaranteed to reproduce that here.
Admirals Flame (IRE) Old stager who still wins his share and will like these conditions but tends to need a run to achieve peak fitness.
It's Our Secret (IRE) All-weather winner in November and has bits and pieces of turf form which suggest he could have a live chance here. Don't rule him out.
Dolphinelle (IRE) Fair sort but largely exposed and although he has slipped in the weights others are preferred.
Dihatjum Moderate sort and hard to fancy here.
Cruagh Express (IRE) Fair placed efforts on sand but turf form not too appealing for a race like this.
