Verdict
The Ron Hodges-trained MASTER MAHOGANY has slipped to a fair mark and ran much better when a close third of 15 runners behind Belle Park at Chepstow recently, form on which he looks the one to beat. Gary Moore's Prince Valentine is a regular visitor here having had is last eight starts at the track and he has claims having performed better here last time. Jim Boyle's Markhesa faces no easy task under the burden of top-weight and of more interest may be Eve Johnson Houghton's Phluke, who has run a couple of decent races of late and any market support for him would be of interest. Jamie Poulton's Dubai Gem is another to consider in a poor quality finale but it is Master Mahogany that gets the vote.
