        Verdict

        Diamond Vendome is capable at this level on his day and Maxime Guyon is back on board but that pair could only manage fourth behind runner-up Aubevoye in Listed company at Cagnes in February. The latter has every chance in this but looks likely to find stablemate JOE FRANCAIS (NAP) too good. Jean-Claude Rouget’s charge was rested after struggling in last year’s French Derby but has won both outings so far this year including a convincing three-length success over track and trip last time and should have the measure of these. Mr Satchmo had an outing in Qatar earlier this year having ended 2019 with a Listed victory at Marseilles Borely and is preferred to Velma Valento of the remainder.
