Verdict
Atyaaf beat Sheepscar Lad a neck here earlier in the month with Moonlit Sands a staying-on sixth and Desert Ace further behind. Faye McManoman’s mount has done best with the draw today and could be the pick of that quartet. Stoney Lane had only a head to spare over FOUR WHEEL DRIVE when they were second and third at Carlisle and it would be no surprise to see the placings reversed here with David Brown’s three-year-old getting a tentative vote ahead of the speedy Excessable. Archimedes has the worst of the draw and steps up a grade in search of back-to-back course and distance wins but Van Gerwen is the type to run well in a race like this.
