      Verdict

      Most of these have been running over various middle-distances but SKIDDAW VALLEYS won at Ripon the last time he raced over 1m4f and is only slightly higher in the weights. By contrast, Age of Elegance was well beaten over today’s trip last month but scored over 1m2f here recently and drops down a grade. Correggio has yet to win over this far but Yorkindred Spirit is a back on a winning mark. Brandon Castle, however, continues to slip down the weights without any noticeable improvement.

      Yorkindred Spirit 8-1 (9-2) Slowly into stride, held up in last pair, good headway on inside tracking leaders halfway, badly hampered on rail over 2f out, no chance after, 4th of 6, 12 1/2l behind Jawaayiz (8-12) at Brighton 1m 2f hcp fll (4) gf in Aug.
