Both Fossgate and Grey Command won on their penultimate starts, but struggled off higher marks last time. Saint Thomas won twice over a shorter trip here last year but arrives out of sorts, though Gems made the frame off today's mark at Thirsk recently having scored at Bath before that. JEU DE VIVRE is holding her form much better and won cosily at Hamilton last week. She's 6lb higher today but may not have finished improving yet and gets the vote. Golden Future and Bradbury are others whose good form came to an abrupt end with woeful efforts on their latest outings.
