        Verdict

        Plenty with previous over this course and distance including Roaring Rory and Mininggold, who both scored off higher marks here last year though the latter could have been better drawn. Compton River is another on a decent mark but lost all chance at the track last time when stumbling leaving the stalls and finishing behind fourth-placed Oriental Splendour. ONE BOY has tumbled down the weights since the start of the season and the handicapper has taken a chance dropping him a further 2lb after finishing second at Hamilton. He gets the vote given Poppy Jag has been raised 7lb after breaking her duck at Nottingham last week.
