Elena made a promising debut at Newmarket and was well supported at Lingfield but couldn’t get past Sashenka, though today’s extra furlong should suit. MUHAARAR’S NEPHEW was unfancied on his debut at Wolverhampton last month but ran very well, chasing the leaders and staying on. He’ll have come on a bundle for the experience and can take this. Five Diamonds is by the same sire as the selection and out of a 7f winner so she’s definitely one to note on her debut. The remainder have it all to do but Reine Magnifique is expected to do better than she showed at Wolverhampton.
