        Verdict

        Politbureau went close at Ripon last time with Maybeme beaten a length in third but this looks tougher. Tribal Myth has done all his winning at this track but remains out of sorts and Valantino Oyster has failed to figure off today's mark since scoring at Ripon earlier this month. Badea should have come on for his belated seasonal return at Haydock but a poor strike rate tempers enthusiasm and top weight FOSSGATE is preferred. Twice a winner over course and distance, James Bethell's charge showed a bit more at Ripon last week and should run a big race if right back to his best today.
