In depth

Verdict

Multisure has never won but has gone close on several occasions, including over a mile at Newcastle last time. Douglas Pasha only beat two rivals at Wolverhampton before a poor effort in a Leicester seller but How's Life was well supported when making a winning start at Wolverhampton in October and should make a nice three-year-old. Mark Johnston completed a treble at last week's opening fixture and should be among the winners today with IZZY BOY taken to set the ball rolling. His form tailed off at the end of the last campaign but earlier runs suggest he's up to winning a race of this nature. Cinderslipper ploughed through the mud to score at Redcar in November but will find conditions very different this time.
