        Verdict

        Having been well placed to land a hat-trick including an apprentices race at Windsor last week, THECORNISHCOWBOY can actually race off a lower mark today. He's worth sticking with until the handicapper catches up. Spanish Plume hit a purple patch earlier in the year and Jack Duern's allowance negates a 3lb rise for winning at Wolverhampton. Valentino Oyster scored over a shorter trip at Carlisle recently but has won three times over course and distance before while Gambol makes his handicap debut and is another to consider stepping up to middle-distances.
