In depth

Verdict

Hammy End is 1-27 but very nearly doubled his winning tally at Bath. That was over 1m5f where he led for a long way so he should be better suited by this trip. HIGHLIGHT REEL won over the course and distance in June and wasn't suited by soft ground on a return visit in an amateurs' race last week so looks the one to be on. Violette Szabo has also won here though it's taken eleven runs to do so while Belvedere Blast is still a maiden though Nigel Tinkler's charge has run well here in the past. Lady Ziana has been threatening to win for some time and suffered early interference when well supported at Musselburgh.
