The betting suggested HIGHWAYGREY would go close at Pontefract on his reappearance and Tim Easterby’s charge duly obliged. There should be more to come from him this year and he’s preferred to stablemates Fox Kasper and Bollin Ted. Zihaam finished a long way behind the selection but went on to beat Ideal Candy over track and trip last time while Motahassen missed out on a hat-trick when only third at Haydock though it was soft ground on that occasion. Railport Dolly and Canasta look best of the rest.
