Verdict
The classy Caspar Netscher won this last year and there are a couple of well-connected newcomers today that could prove above average. Tim Easterby has a fine record here and he runs three. Crystal Cove will have come on for his run at Southwell but David Allen elects to partner Rat Catcher and the son of One Cool Cat out of a 6f winner is well enough drawn to make his presence felt. Fly Fisher was a beaten favourite here last week when Top Notch Tonto wasn't far behind but that didn't look a very good race and newcomers PANAMA CAT and Fraserburgh look the one to concentrate on. The former is out of a very speedy mare and Kevin Ryan's filly has a better draw than Mark Johnston's Shamardal colt so gets the vote to make a winning start.
