In depth

Verdict

Fruit Salad looks to have a fairly easy task in the finale, Juniper Girl and Gentian could provide most danger. Mark Johnston¿s filly has shown plenty of promise in two races to date, the most recent when just getting pipped by Ditton Dancer at Thirsk. She was doing all her best work at the end from a very poor draw and with this slightly longer trip in her favour she will be hard to beat. Juniper Girl was well fancied for her debut run at Haydock recently and didn¿t do too badly finishing just four lengths behind John Gosden¿s newcomer Merveilles. It is difficult to know how good that form is but she should improve for the outing and looks to be a big threat to all. Gentian didn¿t show too much on her Lingfield debut but hails from an in form yard and should be monitored in the betting market. Similar comments apply to Ed Dunlop¿s Nojoom, however Fruit Salad has the proven form and gets a confident vote.
