In depth

Verdict

Lord Kelvin, a winner at Windsor in August, hung left throughout on his return to that track last month which won't aid his cause if he repeats here. Venutius was in cracking form on fast ground last summer and landed a similar handicap here in October. He'll have needed his comeback at Wetherby and is much better than that. The last time PETERHOUSE ran in a Class 5 was here last April and he duly obliged. He also won on the track in August and though both victories were over 1m2f he has the pace for this and can concede weight all round. Toboggan's Fire landed a maiden over slightly shorter here in July and reappeared to score in very heavy going at Redcar before running moderately three days later. Echo Of Lightning hasn't performed well so far this season but is just 1lb higher than his victory at Ayr in September.
