        Verdict

        CHOSEN ONE completed a hat-trick in convincing fashion at Catterick and though penalised 6lb he should go in again as he was 2lb out of the handicap that day. Baltic Bomber has been running poorly so John Quinn tries him in a visor while Clubland has never won on Turf in 13 starts. Black Annis Bower was racing off a 10lb higher mark a year ago and looked ready to win again soon when close up in a big field at Nottingham last time so she may provide the main threat. The veteran Indian Trail gained the ninth victory of his long career over this course and distance in September and may not have finished winning yet judged on a decent reappearance at Thirsk.
