Verdict

The threat of rain complicates matters as a low draw is usually favoured over this C&D but it's not unknown for the winner to come up the stands side in soft ground. BALTIC BOMBER is the speculative selection as he scored nicely at Redcar last time and remains on a fair mark compared to last year's form in nurseries. Majestic Manannan may figure on his handicap bow and Irish Boy is not easily dismissed off his current mark while C&D winner Chosen One can be given a chance. Tom Sawyer, Drumpellier, Rio's Girl and Boucher Garcon all have claims if the race develops among those drawn high.
