Verdict

Captain Venti gets a penalty for dead heating at Doncaster last time, but the ground was probably fast enough for him then, and in what looks a softer race he can continue his winning streak. Cats Whiskers reverts to his winning distance at Newcastle, and any more rain would enhance his chances more. Beauteous put up an improved performance at Carlisle last time but is far from certain to appreciate this extra furlong.
