It will be interesting to see whether Arizona John takes up this engagement after an entry on Thursday however COOLE DODGER shaped better in defeat last time and is fancied to take top honours here. Brian Ellison's runner was unfancied last time at Carlisle but ran on well behind Rowan Lodge. Assuming that he can keep tabs on this modest bunch in the early stages then he should run a big race on ground that suits. Crocodile Bay drops back down in class but he isn't too reliable, Dream Express was well-held recently at Thirsk and now drops in class, whilst Efidium's best performances have come at Redcar and he is passed over. Fyodorovitch caught the eye at Thirsk earlier this week and may prefer this stiffer test of stamina, whilst Just Sam steps back up in trip and along with Spin Again is not to be passed over too readily. A closely-knit claiming race but preference is for Coole Dodger.
