Calculus was allowed to steal a march on his rivals when returning a 50/1 winner over track and trip in first-time cheekpieces. That was his first win in 17 attempts while Prophesise has yet to win anywhere though posted a better effort here last time. Whitcliffe placed at the track before disappointing at Wolverhampton but LET HER LOOSE ran well again at Thirsk having won at the same course earlier and Richard Fahey’s mare may be the one to side with back in this lower grade. Scottish Dancer won’t need to find that much improvement to get involved on his handicap debut.
