Palabres made a promising start on soft ground at Navan and started favourite over 6f on fast going at Fairyhouse but failed to come up to expectations. Power Down made his debut on the latter track last month and showed up well despite looking very green so he'll improve. Will Be King also made a bright start at Naas where he showed good pace for a long way before fading. Pulsing Dragon was only beaten a nose in a Limerick maiden and only a length on softer ground in a Galway nursery so he looks certain to get into contention though this can go to QUEEN RYKER. A half-sister to four winners, she caught the eye on her debut at the Galway festival, staying on nicely over 7f, and Shane Foley can steer her home. Ger Lyons' Dreamboat Dave, the first foal of a winning miler, wouldn't need to be special to get into contention.
