Verdict

It's no surprise to find that Nina Carberry has won two of the five runnings of this and appears to have been found another opportunity with SMOKEY JOE JOE. Kieran Purcell's four-year-old, a winner between the flags at Lisronagh in May, ran a nice race on his bumper debut behind Henro Boy at Downpatrick recently and will have come on for that outing. Rapid Fire showed his first sign of form at Kilbeggan and is another who can make progress while Sobrando Lodge, despite being unfancied, showed plenty of potential behind Earls Quarter at Roscommon and should have no problems confirming form with Miss Salinger, Presenting Kate and Croi Laidir, who were all behind.
