Verdict

BLACKSTAIRMOUNTAIN has won two bumpers, a Grade 1 over timber and another over fences, and has also scored on the Flat. He begins his comeback after failing narrowly to land the Grade 1 Ryanair Novice Chase at Punchestown in April and should have few problems. Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd make a formidable team so Kilbeggan hurdles winner Cause Of Causes, who won on the Flat in France, could prove a threat. Ballyadam Brook was making a name for himself over timber in 2010 and completed a four-timer but he hasn't been seen since pulling up on his chasing debut in February. Asiya is comfortably best of those who have been running on the level though she hasn't run since November.
