Verdict
Caledonia Laird won here in May of last year but is still 7lb higher and hasn't raced since March. Harry Bosch is only previous course winner in the line-up but finished six lengths adrift of winner Icanboogie when favourite at Brighton three weeks ago. Priors Gate is having his first try over a mile but probably has more scope than majority of these. Scots Fern wasn't beaten far over course and distance earlier this month and is another to consider but we'll take ARKANSAS SLIM to go one better than at Ffos Las last time. He was still beaten eight lengths at the Welsh track but the desperate going that day exaggerated distances and he had shown promise on the all-weather last winter.
