This looks tricky as the two recent winners could end up taking each other on for the lead. Both Daylight and Pixilated made all for easy wins at this track and Yarmouth respectively on their latest starts but today's rivals look capable of keeping tabs on them. Almalekiah makes a quick reappearance after going close in similar company at Redcar last Saturday but SMART DAISY K ran well for third in a better race at Chester on her belated reappearance. Andrew Hollinshead's filly gets the nod to pounce late and come out best today.
Daylight 4-5fav (9-5) Made all, pushed clear over 1f out, eased close home, unchallenged, won at Bath 5f 3yo mdn (5) fm beating Silverrica (9-0) by 4l, 5 ran.
Pixilated 5-6fav (9-2) Made all, shaken up over 1f out, soon in command, comfortable, won at Yarmouth 5f 3yo hcp 0-70 (5) gf beating Hand In Glove (9-2) by 5l, 4 ran.
Smart Daisy K 33-1 (7-11) Unseated rider and ran loose prior to start, chased leader until approaching final furlong, stayed pressing for 2nd throughout final furlong, no chance with winner, 3rd of 12, 3 1/2l behind Dutch Masterpiece (9-3) at Chester 5f 3yo hcp 0-95 (3) gd.
Almalekiah (IRE) 8-1 (8-10) Hampered start, soon prominent, every chance over 1f out, no extra close home, 2nd of 9, 3/4l behind Tumblewind (8-12) at Redcar 5f 3yo hcp 0-85 (4) gf.
