In depth

Verdict

Multi Bene justified favouritism at Yarmouth on his latest start but this is a better race and he's 6lb higher now. April Ciel takes a huge drop in distance and could struggle for pace while Abhaath's only previous run over this trip saw him well beaten and he carries a penalty for a narrow win at Wolverhampton. Shomberg had Temuco well behind in a ladies' race at Chepstow two weeks ago but we're prepared to give last month's Newmarket winner SIOUXPERHERO another chance, despite an indifferent run at Brighton subsequently - he looks well drawn here.
