Verdict

ATTAIN won an amateurs' race at Lingfield in January and has gone close again on the all-weather subsequently. He may prove good enough allowed to race off a 7lb lower mark back on this surface. Captain George won over a longer trip here in August and had a spin over hurdles last month while Spirit Of The Vale has won twice over 1m2f at Newcastle this year but is 6lb higher than her latest success. Cold Fusion was a close-up fourth in a seller at Wolverhampton last time but this is tougher.
