For this maiden, the short list consists of Topjeu, Mobaasher and Jupiters Moon. Avelian's form rates in the low 70s, which makes him good for a place at least, while Fisher Bridge showed a lot of promise on his all-weather debut last season and rates as interesting this time around. Junior is apprentice ridden on his debut but give the market a glance all the same, but Jupiters Moon, an 80,000 guineas son of Galileo, rates as very interesting on his racecourse debut. Mobaasher does not look straightforward but time, his level of form, and the fact that the opposition lacks strength in depth means that he gets our respect today. Topjeu has improved for racing and comes here as a major player while Valart showed enough at Lingfield last time to suggest that he has a race in him. Overall, then, in a race where the betting might prove informative, the vote goes to Topjeu.
