Willie Muir has his horses in good form and Texas Gold gets the vote ahead of What Do You Know and Little Edward. Of his pair, Texas Gold looks the most likely to run well. He bounced back to form with a good second when last seen, and this course and distance winner is very much at home on this ground. Seb Sanders continues in his quest for the jockey's championship and his charge gets our vote. Holbeck Ghyll and Little Edward are two more course and distance winners, however whilst the former looks slightly too high in the weights at present, the last-named is now a pound below his highest winning mark and should be feared. What Do You Know is another who comes here with a recent all-weather win under his belt, whilst Even Bolder is consistent but tends to find at least one too good. Misaro and Tony The Tap are two more to consider in an open race, however old-timer Texas Gold gets our nomination.
Tony The Tap 33-1 (8-5) Behind, headway 2f out, stayed on one pace inside final furlong, 6th of 15, 3l behind Indian Trail (8-13) at Sandown 5f hcp 0-100 (2) gf.

Little Edward 5-1 (9-11) Raced wide, held up in touch, headway 2f out, led inside final furlong, caught final strides, 2nd of 10, 3/4l behind Capricorn Run (9-2) at Lingfield 6f hcp 0-80 (4) pol.
Misaro (GER) 9-2 (8-11) Held up, ridden after 2f, weakened 2f out, 8th of 9, 6l behind Loch Verdi (9-5) at Folkestone 5f hcap (4) gf.
Holbeck Ghyll (IRE) 10-1 (8-11) Prominent, driven over 1f out, edged right inside final furlong, kept on same pace, 2nd of 14, nk behind High Curragh (9-6) at Haydock 6f hcp 0-90 (3) gf in Aug.
