Verdict

Bronze Star gets the vote here ahead of Star Berry and Recalcitrant. King's Ransom has been a little disappointing so far this season, while Bronze Star should be all the better for his seasonal return and could be starting this season on a fair mark. That's the view that we are going to take, anyway. Power Again is a British debutant that has won in Germany and cannot be ruled out in what is a modest handicap overall. Recalcitrant has been placed from today's mark on each of his last two starts, although he is unproven on the going, while Star Berry is a potential improver over today's trip. Finally, Ronsard seemed to show some improvement last time and cannot be ruled out of a place but, for the selection, we will stick with Bronze Star.
