Verdict

William Haggas enjoys a fine strike rate here over the past five years and the progressive Jacob's Pillow seems sure to go close to strengthening those figures. He was too good for Intermedium in a Yarmouth maiden after showing promise on all juvenile starts and seems sure to progress further moving into handicap company. Nathan Alison takes a useful 5lb off and it's hard to desert the son of Oasis Dream but SPEED HAWK receives narrow preference. Yet to win this season, the Cowell inmate has nevertheless performed with real credit on two of four starts in finishing runner-up to the likes of G Force and Extortionist, before finishing a respectable seventh to Discussiontofollow in a hot Ascot handicap on Saturday. Form of such quality may see him home. Harwoods Volante would be of interest if translating useful All-weather form to Turf.
