In depth

Verdict

PACIFICADORA takes a big step up in distance having won over 7f at Chelmsford in January but an entry in the Derby suggests he’ll last home and this won’t take much winning. Great Bear made a winning start at Wolverhampton last year but finished a well-beaten fourth at Haydock on his return when upped to today’s trip. He’s got something to prove now while dual bumper winner Ekayburg debuts on the Flat and concedes plenty of weight to the younger horses. Johnny Kidd and Constraint represent last year’s winning yard but have shown little so far so Stone Cougar is preferred.
