In depth

Verdict

It’s early in the season for three-year-olds to be taking on older horses but Equimou did well in her first campaign, placing twice at Listed level. Willytheconqueror won here as a juvenile and made a winning reappearance last season. He’s a consistent sort and Windfast is another who goes well fresh. He ended last season with victory in a Listed contest at Newmarket but is giving weight to all of his rivals. Mr Lupton was behind Willytheconqueror and MUTHMIR in the Beverley Bullet in August and William Haggas’ sprinter is the pick of the weights here. Successful twice at Group 2 level, he didn’t win last year but was unlucky on more than one occasion and his yard has started the new season strongly.
