Verdict

Leicester winner Arnold Lane ran well in a decent conditions race at Beverley two weeks ago but has to concede weight all round here. Mick Channon also saddles the filly Betty Fontaine, who won over 6f here on her debut. She may not be suited by the drop in distance, however, and may lack the pace of recent Goodwood winner The Dancing Lord. Cape Moss is likely to step up on his debut effort at Haydock but will probably need further than this so preference is for RED HEARTS. She didn't appear to stay the extra furlong at Yarmouth last time but won over this trip at Brighton in April and also showed a lot of speed when sixth in a Listed contest at York later.
