Verdict

The ground will be a concern for many of these who've not run in such testing conditions, but we'll put up CHELSEA GIRL as the pick of a moderate bunch, ahead of Alto Singer and Belle Bellino. The selection's breeding suggests a decent sprint career, and she's been placed in a similar contest. It's all about how she handles the ground though, as it'll be a new experience for her. Being towards the bottom of the weights will be an assistance, but she needs to overcome a high draw. Alto Singer has the benefit of being drawn in stall one, and although she's not produced anything that noteworthy so far, she has at least raced when there's been some cut in the ground. She was also entered for a similar event at Lingfield, but being kep't in this race would suggest the going's not a concern. Belle Bellino is Ralph Beckett's only runner on the card. Her dam won several listed races, but she's yet to live up to the promise when costing 36,000 guineas. It probably won't take a great deal of winning this, and we'll side with Chelsea Girl.
