Recent winner Captivate has to be considered in this tricky nursery, but we will take a chance with The Buck, Archimboldo is also expected to go well. Mick Quinlan's colt had shown very little in three maidens before running a blinder to finish second First Empire in a similar race to this at Beverley. There could be more improvement to come and he looks the best option today. Sir Mark Prescott's Archimboldo is improving with each run and being by Woodman you would expect him to relish this extra distance. However Captivate could be the main threat to the selection. He was claimed out of the Prescott yard when winning at Newcastle last time. He looks on a very lenient mark and will be very hard to keep out of the places. Meaningful and Trimwaki are from stables that do well in this sphere and could be best of the others, but The Buck only needs to run up to his latest effort to collect this afternoon.
