The waiting tactics were overdone when MAGOG was beaten by Salutation at Nottingham on his reappearance in May. The winner is a useful sort and, as Roger Charlton's gelding still has plenty of scope, he can recoup losses here. Ardingly was soon in trouble on his handicap debut at Leicester and looks to be on a stiff mark so the danger may be Aneedh, who was third when tackling this trip for the first time at Doncaster. The Scuttler may have stamina issues while Happy Families hasn't shown enough to suggest she can get involved.
