In depth

Verdict

Compton Bird arrives on the back of a good run at Kempton and Perfect Bandit has been placed on a couple of occasions at the track this season. The latter wasn't far behind runner-up Devon Diva over 1m2f here last time and that pair look closely matched in this. However, DOUBLE STAR scored over course and distance last month and Jonathan Portman's filly is fancied to defy a 7lb rise given she's had only four starts to date and has plenty of scope for improvement. Offbeat Safaris looks best of the remainder off his current mark.
